Word Play: Poetry & Hip Hop

A celebration of music and the spoken word hosted by The Ubuntu Theory (TUT), a Newark-based hip hop humanitarian duo comprised of Rutgers University honors graduates emcee, Jewell The Queen and vocalist King Haze. TUT’s goal is to create positive, responsive and empathetic music that sheds light on today’s societal issues through the lens of young people of color.

Featuring artists The Ubuntu Theory, Yeimy Gamez, J Read, Asha, Shawn Crysis, Diamond the Drummer, Briana, The Euphony, Mia X, and April Nieves.
