Join us for our next High School Equivalency Test Prep Classes (TASC/GED).  Classes will meet for nine weeks. If you are 16 years or older, and think you may need help reviewing your math, science or English skills for your TASC or GED test, come check us out! Classes are free and led by a certified NJ educator! Let’s make your dreams come true! *Classes will be offered virtually until further notice.

Pop-up Census Sites at the Newark Public Library during July

It’s not too late! The 2020 Census is still happening.

The City of Newark and the Newark Public Library are teaming up to help you get counted. Visit one of the pop-up Census sites at the following library branches during the month of July and get one-on-one assistance to complete the Census online.

Visit one of our three sites:

  • Van Buren Branch | 140 Van Buren Street, Newark – parking lot
  • North End Branch | 722 Summer Avenue, Newark – parking lot
  • Springfield Branch | 50 Hayes Street, Newark – courtyard
