“Honoring Our Past”: Book Talk and Signing and The North Jersey Philharmonic Glee Club Performance

Tufts University’s Dr. Kendra Field will present her book “Growing Up With the Country: Family, Race, and Nation after the Civil War”. Dr. Field has ties to Newark, East Orange, and Paterson.  The North Jersey Philharmonic Glee Club, under the direction of Phillip Field, the author’s uncle, will perform.  The Glee Club in its 80th year remains dedicated to the preservation of male choral singing in the African-American tradition.

This program is FREE and open to the public.

Light refreshments will be served. Books will be available for purchase.
