Hip Hop, now in its fifth decade, continues to influence, intrigue and inspire locally and globally.  The exhibit features photos, artifacts, lyrics and commentary about four elements of Hip Hop:  DJ-ing, MC-ing, Graffiti and Breaking/Breakdancing.  Newark and New Jersey are at the foundation of this lifestyle and continue to produce music, dictate style and deliver artists today.

FREE and open to the public

Newark School of Theology Beginning Biblical Hebrew (Spring Modules – Wednesday 6:30-8) @ Board Room, 2nd Floor

This course introduces the students to Biblical and Prayer Book Hebrew. Its aims are to teach students the Hebrew alphabet and how to read and write words and sentences in Hebrew, using the modern Sephardic pronunciation. some common grammatical forms and patterns of Hebrew are introduced through the study of brief texts from Exodus Chap. 20 and The Book of Psalms. After completing this course, students are able to read simple Hebrew texts, use a Hebrew-English dictionary, and consult interlinear texts for further study. this course provides students with the ability to use Biblical Hebrew texts for sermon preparation and Bible study.

Knowledge of the Hebrew Alphabet and the ability to read and write Hebrew are necessary skills for success in completing the seminary level class in Biblical Hebrew that The Newark School of Theology offers.
