2019 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Submissions are open now for The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens! Any New Jersey student in grades 7-12 can now submit original works in 29 categories, including painting, flash fiction, science fiction & fantasy, short story, poetry, printmaking, photography, and more.

For the second year, the Newark Public Library will be managing all writing submissions statewide! Gold key writing winners will be honored at a regional ceremony and go on to compete for scholarships, publication, and other honors in the national competition.
