Over Here: Newark in World War I, 1917-1918

While World War I raged “over there” in Europe, countless Americans “over here” worked for victory.  On the centennial of our nation’s entry into the Great War, this exhibit commemorates Newark’s important contributions to the conflict. See historic photographs, sheet music, pamphlets, posters, and other materials, from the Collections of the Newark Public Library.

Exhibit on view from January 20 to December 31, 2017
3rd Floor Gallery, Main Library, 5 Washington Street, Newark

Guest Curator George Robb will present a lecture on Thursday, April 6, in Centennial Hall, 6:00 to 8:00 pm, with a reception.
