Auditorium, 4th Floor, Main Library
5 Washington Street, Newark
When you apply for credit, insurance, phone service, or even to rent a place to live, providers want to know if you are a good risk. Learn how your decisions on purchases, loans, and financial responsibilities affect your credit score. Other topics will include banks vs. credit unions, pre-paid cards, the consequences of defaulting on bills, and how to improve your financial literacy.
The phrase “knowledge is power” is certainly true when it comes to defending your rights. Learn to protect yourself and your family. The Rutgers Law School has partnered with the Newark Public Library to offer a series of free legal information sessions for the community during the months of February, March, and April.
