Trans Rights: A Discussion

Wednesday, October 25, 2017
6:30 – 8:00 pm
James Brown African American Room, 1st Floor, Main Library

Transgender issues have quickly become a major topic in American society. Newly visible struggles over bathrooms, discrimination, military service, and health insurance coverage are constantly in the news. We will discuss the current state of transgender rights as employees, students, and military personnel, as well as their intersection with healthcare rights.

This seminar is part of the series Do You Know Your Rights?  For more information about the series, click here.

The phrase “knowledge is power” is certainly true when it comes to defending your rights.  Learn to protect yourself and your family.  The Rutgers Law School has partnered with the Newark Public Library to offer a series of free legal information sessions for the community during the months of October and November.
